Around the world

Yesterday I had the chance to volunteer at the church's Humanitarian Center. I guess their Hurrican relief packets have been depleted and they needed help putting together more. So our stake set up a morning to do this. I got there a little late, so I got stuck at a table way in the back. Maybe stuck isn't the right word, because it wasn't bad. I was at a table with teh Alders. We put together little school bags: a canvas bag, 3 notebooks, a box of colored pencils, a ruler, 4 pencils, scissors, pencil sharpener, eraser, and a card that said it was donated by the church in several different languages. I was at the end of the line, so I popped in the card, folded up the bag, and had to wrap the straps around the bottom. It made my thumbs raw. But it was for a good cause. The three hours passed quickly. And I learned that these kits were going to Sudan.
