Kaydee had a great first day at her new school. Dropping her off was a bit wierd because the teacher didn't seem to have any idea who we were. Then she just kind of shoved me out the door. I worried about if they would know who to call if something happened, or if they knew her situation. But I had to get to my own class. When I picked her up, her special ed teacher was with her, and she had made the transition happen. She said that Kaydee took to the class like a fish to water, and that the calmer, quieter atmosphere helped her to pay attention better. She's even trying to make friends. I think I even noticed a difference in Kaydee when we got home and she was attempting more words and most of them successfully. I'm glad we made the change.
