I'm not very good at keeping updated

What's happened? Hmmm. Sal got a motorcycle, then sold it. He got laid off from E*trade and then got another job at Ameriprise.
I'm still just plugging away, one day at a time sometimes. I have been doing lots of stocking up with groceries. Good sales + coupons = great deals. Who can beat cereal for 50 cents a box? I have a lot of cereal now, and am always looking for more. I currently have a couple of cases of canned goods sitting in the back hall. I need to figure out where to put these because the pantry is pretty much full. I wish you could see the laundry room too. One of the shelves has a good stash of laundry detergent, body wash, shampoo, conditioner and toothpaste. I went a little crazy with the shampoo and conditioner. But it was only 27 cents a bottle (on clearance) so I stocked up. I love finding great deals like that. In fact by the time I need to buy more Q-tips, it will have been about 2 years since I bought any. I found some on clearance for 31 cents and bought 10 boxes. I have 3 boxes left. I always have my eye out. I always check the clearance. I got a nice pair of khaki pants for $6 the other day.
The boys are still liking school. Not much new with them. They still won't keep their room clean.
Lena had her kindergarten check up last month. She got 5 shots. Poor kid, but she's a trooper. In a couple of weeks we register her for kindergarten. Today she wore off the remaining training wheel on her bike. Her brothers took off the attaching parts and now she's an official 2 wheeler. After 30 minutes, she had it down. She's so proud of herself.
Kaydee is 2. Oh boy is she 2! It's always fun with a Jekyll and Hyde baby. She's being so sweet and cute to me, and then in the same breath is screaming her head off at I don't know what. I don't think I've known a 2 year old that gets sent to her room as much as Kaydums. And it's usually for screaming. She tends to pick fights with anything and everything.
The latest drama here is with hot water. As in there wasn't any. One day, I heard water running through the pipes in a place we never hear it normally (except when there was a leak under the back porch last year). I looked all over to see who left the water on, but didn't find anything. Then later there was no hot water. So the fix it guy came the next day and looked and looked for almost 2 hours and couldn't find the source. He returned the next day and replaced all the valves in all the faucets, but that didn't work. The next day, he replaced the water heater. That worked a little. I was able to take a hot shower this morning, the first time in 4 days, but we are still having problems. Meanwhile, I am heating water on the stove for the dishes. If we keep the valve closed to the water heater when not in use, we have hot water for our needs. Not very much, but better than nothing. It's getting rather stressful for me. Next week, someone will come with their fancy equipment to find the leak. I have a feeling the back hall will be getting ripped up sooner than we thought. There has been a warm spot in the floor for about a month. But of course, now it's gone with the lack of hot water.

So they did rip up the back hall. Used a jackhammer. I was supposed to be gone with the girls because I knew Kaydee would not take it well. But he came early and Kaydee freaked. Poor girl sat on Sal's lap and pointed at her ears. It was very very loud. But it's fixed now. The new tile makes the old stuff look bad.
