The ladies in the ward call me the coupon queen. While I have learned how to use them and can save a good chunk of change, I'm far from a queen. Not even a princess. With Sal out of work, and playing the catch up game, I just haven't been into it for a good 6 months now. Yesterday was a good trip. I'll have to brag:
Albertson's is having a deal where you buy 5 from a certain group of items and you get a single serve tray of cookies free (the boxes that have little packages, perfect for school lunches). And they're not an unknown brand either, they're Nabisco. So I bought 4 boxes of cereal (with coupons, of course), 2 packages of sliced Kraft cheese, 3 things of sugar free Kool-Aid, and a box of Kool-Aid jammers. I got 2 trays of cookies for free with that. Well, they also had another promotion with a store coupon that said if you buy 2 trays of cookies, you can get a free box of capri-suns. So now we're up to free cookies and free drinks. I had coupons for free cheese when you buy 3 of a participating item. Kool-Aid was one of those items, as well as the cookies. So free cookies, free drinks and free cheese. Oh, can't forget the free salad dressing too. On sale for $2, had coupons for $2 off = free salad dressing. Four of them. I always buy 4 copies of the Sunday paper so I can have 4 sets of coupons. It pays to do that. You are able to stock up.
I also had a coupon for those cookies too.
But if you think that is impressive, I've done better. Well, maybe not free stuff better, but gotten tons of stuff for not much more money. In about a week and a half, the Box Tops sale starts at Albertsons. You've seen the Box Tops for Education things on products. Good sale + coupons = great deals. This is when I stock up on cereal, cake mixes, fruit snacks, yogurt, etc. Almost too much to fit in the fridge, pantry and freezer for less than $150. I'll let you know how that goes.

You really know how to save. You will have to tell me your sercets and teach me your tricks. You will have to keep me updated on the sales so I can try to save too, Not as well as you though. That's awesome. Your family is lucky to have you!

I got my hair cut the day of the surprise party. I think I took that pic that day.
