I voted already. I went as soon as the poles opened so that I could avoid the crowds and wouldn't have to take a sick Kaydee with me. Surprisingly there was already a bit of a crowd at 7 am, and the line went out the door and it was raining. But it was worth it.
As I was in line, I was reminiscing about election at Gramma's house when she would turn it into a polling location. I remember the booths in the living room, and different people coming in and out. I remember her helping new voters. She stopped doing that when they moved just as I started high school, but I lived with them when it came time for me to vote for the first time. She was with me. I still have my sticker and voter info booklet in my box of memories.
Happy birthday Grampa! I hope you have a safe trip home in this weather.

Hey Amy, I voted early this morning too. That is cool that Grandma was with you the 1st time you voted. She is all about politics. I hope Kaydee feels better soon. Grandma and Grandpa got home about 12:30 this afternoon.
