Poor Lena

Lena just hit a milestone, and it was rather unexpected. It's a neat thing kids usually go through, especially the first time, but it scared Lena.
She was laying on the couch, reading a book quietly, when I hear her start to whimper. It was her fear whimper, and my first thought was that she saw something scary in the book (except what scary picture books do we have?) I turn around and she's carefully climbing off the couch with her hand in the air, and I'm thinking a spider is crawling on her. By this time, the tears have started and blood was dripping from her mouth. On her finger, was her tooth. Poor Lena. It really scared her. Through her tears, she says "my tooth came out."
I felt bad for her, but couldn't help laughing. It was so sad and cute. It took some doing to calm her down and reassuring her it was normal.
It actually caught me totally off guard. She never told anybody she had a loose tooth. And she has two older brothers who have lost multiple teeth, so you'd think she'd know. I took pictures, but after that blog hacking/picture stealing story on the news last week, I won't be posting any pictures on an open blog.

Poor Lena, but that is exciting that she lost her first tooth. Is the tooth fairy coming to visit? Don't you wish we could still lose teeth and get money? hehehe!!!

Ha ha! Yeah, we just get to pay to lose teeth now.
