Thanksgiving

It was a great weekend. I've been thinking up until this moment that it was the first time I've hosted when suddenly I remembered the year we had our friends over. I remember us adults around that little round table we used to have which means it was that was quite a while ago.

I was quite surprised at how quickly Kaydee warmed up to everyone. She's always held back and kept her distance, but seem to have recently lost that. Well, mostly. She wouldn't talk to the man at the bank the other day, but chatted it up with the Highway Patrolwoman at the restaurant less than an hour later. I guess she still discriminates.

Then on Friday, I took the kids down to the grandparents (their great-grandparents). They were going to spend the night while mommy and daddy had some time to themselves for their anniversary. Grandma and Grampa were there too (my parents), so they got some bonding time. I meandered my way up north through Provo on my way home, met Sal at work, then we went out to dinner and a movie. (Go see Australia, it's great!) The next morning, we went out to dinner, went to the distribution center, then back home to study before we parted. He had to work, and I had stuff to do before I picked up the kids.

While at the grandparents, the kids were outside with Grampa Tom and saw a bunch of deer. It was about 30 minutes before I got out to see them and they were still in the yard across the street. Dad counted 9. As we were leaving, they wandered down the street, but we found them around the corner in another yard, and stopped in front for a close up look. It was pretty cool. I didn't know they traveled in packs that big, especially in suburban areas.

Over all, it was a wonderful weekend.

I am glad you had a great holiday. We visited your parents on Monday and your mom said you were a great cook. Sad I missed it. They also talked about how cute Kaydee was. I am glad you and Sal had a great anniversary and got to spend some time together...alone. That is always nice. Hope to see you guys soon! What are your plans for Christmas? We are doing dinner at Grandma's Christmas Day!
